Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship in Supply Chain Lead
Align your credentials to the TN category
Supply Chain Lead roles typically qualify under the Management Consultant or Industrial Engineer TN visa category. Confirm your degree matches the category your employer will reference in their TN support letter before the offer letter is finalized.
Target employers experienced with visa sponsorship
Search for companies with recent visa filings in supply chain and logistics roles. These employers are already experienced with work visa sponsorship and understand visa sponsorship processes, making them more likely to navigate TN visa requirements smoothly. For Canadian applicants, this means employers familiar with preparing support letters for port-of-entry presentations. For Mexican applicants, this means employers comfortable with the consulate application process.
Request an offer letter that names your TN category
Your offer letter must state the specific TN professional category, your job duties, and your employment period. A generic offer letter will delay your CBP entry or consular appointment, so ask HR to include these details explicitly.
Use Migrate Mate to identify sponsoring employers
Filter your job search by TN visa sponsorship willingness using Migrate Mate, which surfaces Supply Chain Lead roles at employers already set up to sponsor. This saves weeks of outreach to companies unfamiliar with TN filings.
Prepare for CBP scrutiny on management scope
CBP officers frequently question whether a Supply Chain Lead role qualifies as managerial or professional versus supervisory. Bring documentation showing your strategic and analytical responsibilities, not just team oversight, to support your TN admission.
Understand Mexican nationals face a TN cap
Mexico has a limited annual TN allocation under USMCA. If you're a Mexican national, confirm with your employer that the current fiscal year's quota hasn't been exhausted before accepting an offer tied to a specific start date.
Supply Chain Lead TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Supply Chain Lead role qualify for a TN visa?
Yes, if the role meets the USMCA professional category requirements. Supply Chain Lead positions most commonly qualify under Management Consultant or Industrial Engineer, depending on your duties and degree. The job must require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field, and your offer letter must reflect the qualifying category accurately.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for Supply Chain Lead jobs?
TN visa sponsorship is faster and more predictable for this role. There's no annual lottery for Canadians, no cap on petitions, and no multi-month USCIS queue. Canadian professionals can often be admitted at the border the same day the offer is finalized. H-1B requires lottery selection and a minimum six-month wait before employment begins.
Where can I find Supply Chain Lead jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for TN visa job seekers and filters Supply Chain Lead roles by sponsorship willingness. Most general job boards don't distinguish between employers open to TN sponsorship and those who aren't, which wastes significant time in your search.
What documents does my employer need to provide for my TN filing?
Your employer needs to provide a signed offer letter specifying your TN professional category, job duties, salary, and employment period. For Canadian citizens, you'll present this letter directly at the U.S. port of entry; for Mexican nationals, you'll submit it with your visa application at a U.S. consulate. Your employer doesn't file a separate USCIS petition for TN admissions—the support letter serves as your primary documentation.
Can I switch employers while working on a TN visa as a Supply Chain Lead?
Yes, but your TN status is tied to your specific employer and role. If you change jobs, your new employer must support a fresh TN admission at the border or a new consular appointment. You can't transfer TN status the way H-1B holders can use portability. Plan your transition with at least two to four weeks of lead time.
