Job Description
Sales Training Specialist - WHS - Lenexa, KS, Monday to Friday, 8: 00 AM to 5:00 PM
Local Candidates Only
This is a training and facilitation role, not a direct sales position.
Pay range: $66,405+ per year
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

The Spec, Commercial Training, responsible to drive sales growth by designing and executing training programs for the Workforce Health Solutions team. Partnering with WHS Sales Leadership to identify and address competency gaps for the entire Commercial team and collaborate to develop and support training for individual development plans. This role reports to the Manager of Sales Training, and champions the overall sales training processes and programs. Responsible for everything from new hire onboarding to ongoing professional development, partnering closely with leadership to bridge skill gaps.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to develop and implement the overall sales training strategy that maximizes performance and sales results.
- Lead the design, development and deployment of national sales training in various blended learning formats.
- Partner with Workforce Health Solutions Business Partners (marketing, IT, technical) on the strategy, development and delivery of sales training related to featured products/services.
- Conduct formal, ongoing training sessions that meet the needs of the sales organization.
- Provide training on skills application for product and service lines.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop/analyze training and identify processes, programs and techniques for maximizing sales performance and results.
- Work in the field with reps to monitor proper message delivery, skill application, and progress with individual professional development goals. Report findings to the appropriate Commercial Leader.
- Communicate knowledge gaps to the appropriate Commercial Leader(s) and collaborate with them to identify and develop remediation strategies.
- Continually evaluate all sales training activities to identify areas for improvement and drive overall effectiveness.
- Consistently increase knowledge of industry trends while keeping pace with training and development innovation.
- Use AI tools to strengthen knowledge base within the business and provide unique resources to reps to access training content.
Qualifications
Required Work Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in sales training, and/or direct sales or sales account management
- Demonstrated success in a sales coaching/training role and ability to influence the behavior of others both in the classroom and field
Skills
- Excellent at working collaboratively
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and accomplishing multiple tasks
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Presentation and facilitation skills
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Work Environment
- Hybrid, onsite Lenexa 3 days per week
- Travel required

- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (Required)
