Position Title: Training Specialist Sr.
Work Location: West Devon Ave, Itasca, IL 60143
Assignment Duration: 12 Months
Work Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite
Position Summary
Processes transactions in the Learning Management System per company's training programs. Project implementation experience may be required for initial plan design and existing plan enhancements; able to execute testing and provide feedback on system changes.
Background & Context
- Need additional support to process daily training transactions while full-time staff supports an LMS system upgrade.
- Primary focus: Day-to-day LMS transactions and modurequests.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor help desk inbox.
- Respond to questions.
- Process LMS transactions.
- Process training assignments.
- Process rosters.
- Process certifications.
- Process external training.
- Process training plan changes.
- Attend daily team touchpoint.
- Execute testing and provide feedback on system changes.
- Facilitate group process in diverse settings.
- Design learning interventions to meet defined needs.
- Work with management to define organizational objectives.
- Assist in the designing of courses to meet business needs.
Qualification & Experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Experience processing transactions in an LMS, document management, or change management system.
- SmartSolve experience preferred but not required.
- Proactive communication and collaboration with team and stakeholders.
- Experience creating or updating training materials or documents.
- Instructional, teaching, training, or team leadership experience.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (science, education, or equivalent experience).
- Medical/pharmaceutical experience preferred, not required.
- Systems used daily: SmartSolve LMS, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Office suite.
- BS (5+ years) in a learning, technical, or closely related discipline, or sufficient practical and transferable experience to demonstrate practical equivalence.
- Understands human learning concepts and has experience designing learning interventions to meet specific business needs.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- Work location: Fully onsite.
- Travel: Not required; potential optional travel approximately once yearly for meetings or town halls.

- Conversion to full-time possible in future years.
