Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for an ambulatory operating room position requiring a SC or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of OR experience.
Details
- Ambulatory OR setting with 9 operating rooms
- Day shift schedule available as either 3x12s (6:30a–7:00p) or 4x10s (6:30a–5:00p)
- One late week per four-week period required to complete cases
- No weekend requirements
- No on-call requirements
- Floating may be required within the perioperative facility
- Epic EMR is used at this facility
- Preferred specialty experience includes Ophthalmology, Ortho, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, and Surgical Oncology
Requirements
- Active SC RN license or compact RN license; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
- A radiation badge must be provided by the staffing agency prior to start
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- May be required to precept a care team member in the operating room
- Modules are completed pre-start
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are accepted; non-local candidates are prioritized
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration and is subject to facility approval
- During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak months are August and September
