Avis Budget Group is seeking a Product Designer (UX/UI) to help shape intuitive, high-quality digital experiences across our web and mobile platforms. Reporting to the UX Design Manager, you will be embedded within a cross-functional product pod—working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Analysts to design experiences that improve customer satisfaction, conversion, and revenue. This role combines user-centered design, data-driven thinking, and strong execution, contributing to both the optimization of existing journeys and the creation of new, innovative experiences.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
End-to-End Product Design:
- Design intuitive, user-centered experiences across key parts of the digital journey (e.g., search, booking, post-booking, mobile app)
- Take designs from concept through wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI to final delivery
- Ensure designs are practical, scalable, and aligned with technical constraints
Customer-Centered Design:
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, behaviors, and pain points
- Use customer research, usability testing, and feedback to inform design decisions
- Advocate for the user while balancing business and technical requirements
Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
- Partner with product and CRO teams to improve conversion and user experience across the funnel
- Use data and experimentation insights to iterate on and refine designs
- Identify friction points and propose solutions that enhance usability and performance
Design Systems & Consistency:
- Contribute to and leverage the design system to ensure consistency across web and mobile experiences
- Maintain high standards of visual design, interaction design, and usability
- Collaborate with other designers to evolve design patterns and best practices
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with:
- Product Managers to define problems and prioritize solutions
- Engineers to ensure smooth implementation and high-quality delivery
- Product Analysts & CRO teams to incorporate data and experimentation insights
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies and product development processes
Prototyping & Communication:
- Create prototypes to communicate design concepts and validate ideas
- Present design work clearly and effectively to stakeholders
- Incorporate feedback and iterate quickly

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience as a Product Designer, UX Designer, or UI/UX Designer in a digital or e-commerce environment
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
- Understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and visual design best practices
- Experience working in cross-functional, agile teams
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience designing for both web and mobile apps
- Exposure to conversion optimization and experimentation (CRO)
- Familiarity with design systems and component-based design
- Experience in B2C and/or B2B digital products
The annual starting salary for this position is between $115,000 - $125,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
