About the Role
As a Senior UX Designer I, you will lead the design strategy for a business or product line, shaping user experiences that are intuitive, engaging, and aligned with customer needs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, use research and data to inform design decisions, and champion user-centered design practices throughout the product development lifecycle. This role also provides opportunities to mentor designers and contribute to innovation across customer-facing products and applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead design strategy for a business or product line.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer use cases and advocate for customer needs across agile teams.
- Create processes that effectively uncover customer needs and product design opportunities.
- Partner with UX Research to understand user needs and proactively apply insights to design decisions.
- Manage user-centered design deliverables and contribute to product and application strategy.
- Use analytics, customer insights, and testing results to inform design and future strategy.
- Conduct and iterate user testing in partnership with UX Research teams.
- Mentor junior designers and build strong working relationships with technical teams.
Requirements
- Mastery of user-centered design processes.
- Mastery of interaction design skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Human Factors Engineering and user-centered design methodologies.
- Ability to summarize and apply data from analytics, customer insights, and research sources.
- Experience establishing metrics and using data to guide design decisions.
- Expert-level use of design software such as Axure, Sketch, and InVision.
- Ability to produce designs across multiple platforms.
- Strong problem-solving, innovation, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
