- Collaborate with the product and development teams as they implement the design into released product features.
- Promote product consistency across the platform.
- Employ usage analytics from our product to generate data to track and measure the success of our solutions.
We’re Excited to Learn More About You

- Well-versed in experimental design, research methodology, and statistical analysis.
- Demonstrated experience with research methodologies such as user observation, user interview, usability testing, card sorts, persona development, user journeys and surveys.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret research data and turn it into actionable insights.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills that promote idea-sharing and knowledge transfer.
- Proficient in design and prototyping tools (Figma, Balsamiq, Miro, whiteboards, etc.)
You may have other skills or credentials, including:

There is no state-issued license or registration required to work as a user experience ux in Texas. Most employers hire candidates who hold a bachelor's degree in UX design, interaction design, human-computer interaction, or a closely related field, paired with a strong portfolio. Texas universities including UT Austin, Texas A&M, and UT Dallas offer relevant programs. A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX process is the most decisive qualification when applying to Texas employers.
How much do user experience UXs make in Texas?
User experience UXs in Texas earn a median of about $102,650 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $59,290 for the lowest 10% to over $168,620 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire user experience uxs in Texas?
Employers hiring user experience uxs in Texas right now include Photon, Amazon, and NTT DATA, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of enterprise technology, financial services, and healthcare IT companies means demand for UX professionals is spread across multiple industries rather than confined to a single sector.
Which Texas cities have the most user experience ux jobs?
Dallas, Austin, and Irving have the most user experience ux openings in Texas. Austin leads because of its dense technology startup and enterprise SaaS ecosystem, while Dallas draws heavily from financial services and telecommunications firms like AT&T, and Houston's concentration of energy, healthcare, and logistics companies generates consistent UX demand tied to complex enterprise product environments.
Are there remote user experience ux jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. User experience ux work is largely screen-based and collaborative through digital tools, making it well suited to remote arrangements. About 20% of user experience ux openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how normalized distributed design teams have become. Research and strategy phases tend to be fully remote, while roles involving on-site user testing or embedded product team work more often require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a user experience ux in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is building a portfolio through coursework, self-initiated projects, or volunteer work before applying to associate or junior UX roles. Large Texas technology employers and healthcare systems often post junior designer or UX researcher positions that explicitly welcome new graduates. Transitioning from adjacent roles such as graphic design, front-end development, or customer research is common and well recognized by Texas hiring teams. A focused portfolio demonstrating UX thinking, even on speculative projects, carries more weight than credentials alone.
