Salesforce Administrator Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a salesforce administrator in Texas?
The most direct path is earning the Salesforce Certified Administrator credential, which requires passing the ADM-201 exam administered by Salesforce and has no Texas-specific licensing requirement. Most Texas employers expect candidates to complete Salesforce Trailhead training modules before sitting the exam. A bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or a related field is common but not universally required, and relevant hands-on experience through an internship or junior admin role often substitutes.
How much do salesforce administrators make in Texas?
Salesforce administrators in Texas earn a median of about $114,400 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $59,950 for the lowest 10% to over $161,590 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire salesforce administrators in Texas?
Employers hiring salesforce administrators in Texas right now include Lennar, Southern Methodist University, and Salesforce, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's large concentration of technology firms, regional banks, insurance carriers, and enterprise healthcare systems means demand stays consistent across multiple industries year-round.
Which Texas cities have the most salesforce administrator jobs?
Dallas, Irving, and Houston are the Texas cities with the most salesforce administrator openings. Dallas leads because of its dense concentration of corporate headquarters in financial services, telecommunications, and technology, while Houston's energy and healthcare sectors drive strong demand, and Austin's fast-growing tech industry attracts companies that standardize on Salesforce early.
Are there remote salesforce administrator jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. Salesforce administration is largely desk-based work that translates well to remote environments. About 17% of salesforce administrator openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how readily the role can be performed without being on-site. Configuration, user support, and reporting tasks are the functions most commonly performed fully remote.
How can I get hired as a salesforce administrator in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is earning the Salesforce Certified Administrator credential through Trailhead, then applying to junior admin or Salesforce support analyst roles at mid-size Texas companies that use Salesforce but lack a dedicated team. Large Texas employers like USAA, Dell Technologies, and H-E-B occasionally post associate-level or rotational technology roles that include Salesforce responsibilities. Coming from a sales operations coordinator, CRM data analyst, or business analyst background gives candidates a credible lateral move without prior admin titles.
Where can I find and apply to salesforce administrator jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to salesforce administrator jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings across the state's major markets. Find roles that fit your experience and specialization and apply directly to the employers posting them.
