Key Responsibilities
- Conduct requirements-gathering sessions with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Analyze and document business processes using BPMN standards.
- Identify process inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for automation using Appian’s capabilities.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with Appian Architects and Developers to design workflows, data models, and user interfaces.
- Support Agile delivery through backlog refinement, sprint planning, and clarification of requirements.
- Assist in creating test cases and scenarios; support system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations and comply with organizational standards.
- Analyze and ensure business processes and integration points align with PeopleSoft Modules and Appian workflow.
- Run workshops and working sessions to drive clarity and consensus for functional and technical requirements from stakeholders.
- Produce Process maps, user stories, functional specifications and technical guides in document repositories with acceptable governance.
You have
- Appian Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Appian versions 24.x or higher.
- U.S. Citizenship
- A minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
- Strong understanding of business process modeling (BPMN) and process improvement methodologies.
- Experience working on Appian or other BPM/low-code platform projects.
- Ability to create clear and detailed requirements documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Certifications: Appian Certified Analyst is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Appian features (process models, interfaces, records, data types, etc.).
- Experience with data modeling and workflow design.
- Appian Analyst, Designer, or Practitioner certification (nice to have).
- Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools for backlog management.
- Attention to detail with a focus on delivering secure, high-quality solutions
