Entry Level Vice President Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level vice president job?
Employers hiring at this level look for candidates who can demonstrate leadership potential, clear communication, and initiative, even without years of experience. A strong internship record, relevant coursework, or a portfolio showing real project ownership gives you an edge. Tailoring your application to show you understand the organization's goals, and following up after applying, separates entry level candidates who get interviews from those who don't.
Which companies hire entry level vice presidents?
Companies hiring entry level vice presidents right now include JPMorganChase, Goldman Sachs, and State Street, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The mix typically includes financial services firms, technology companies, and consulting organizations that recruit early-career candidates into structured VP training or associate programs designed to develop future leaders.
Are there remote entry level vice president jobs?
Yes, though remote availability varies by industry and employer. About 37% of entry level vice president openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with hybrid arrangements being more common than fully remote roles at this level. Candidates open to on-site positions will generally find a wider range of openings, particularly in financial services and consulting.
Are these new grad vice president jobs?
Yes, many of these postings are new grad and junior roles that explicitly welcome recent graduates and candidates with zero to two years of experience. A new grad-friendly vice president posting typically notes that internship experience or a strong portfolio can substitute for a lengthy work history, and may be part of a structured associate or rotational program designed for early-career professionals.
Which industries hire the most entry level vice presidents?
