Vice President Of Finance Jobs in Arkansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a vice president of finance in Arkansas?
Most vice presidents of finance in Arkansas hold a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting plus an advanced degree such as an MBA or master's in finance. Obtaining a CPA license through the Arkansas State Board of Public Accountancy significantly strengthens candidacy, as many Arkansas employers in banking, retail, and healthcare list it as preferred. The typical path runs through controller, director of finance, or CFO roles at mid-size Arkansas companies before moving into VP-level positions.
Which companies hire vice president of finances in Arkansas?
Arkansas vice president of finance roles are posted by Walmart, Sam's Club, and Ryder System and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Arkansas's concentration of retail headquarters, regional banks, and large healthcare systems means demand for senior finance leaders is spread across multiple industries statewide.
Which Arkansas cities have the most vice president of finance jobs?
Bentonville, Little Rock, and Conway lead Arkansas in vice president of finance openings. Little Rock's density of state government agencies, healthcare systems, and financial institutions anchors demand there, while the Bentonville and Fayetteville corridor reflects the presence of Walmart's global headquarters and the substantial supplier and logistics ecosystem that has built up around northwest Arkansas.
Are there remote vice president of finance jobs in Arkansas?
Yes, and more than most fields, because strategic financial leadership is largely desk-based and increasingly conducted through cloud-based systems and virtual board meetings. About 40% of vice president of finance openings tied to Arkansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with fully remote arrangements most common for roles focused on financial reporting, FP&A, and investor relations rather than operational or on-site treasury functions.
How can I get hired as a vice president of finance in Arkansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is building toward the role through a financial analyst or accounting manager position at a large Arkansas employer such as a major retailer, regional bank, or hospital system. Completing a CPA through the Arkansas State Board of Public Accountancy and pursuing an MBA through the University of Arkansas or UALR signals VP-track ambition to hiring managers. Lateral moves from controller or director of FP&A roles within Arkansas-based companies are the most common bridge into a first VP of finance appointment.
