Entry Level Video Producer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level video producer job?
Entry level video producer roles are won on portfolio strength, not tenure. Employers at this level look for a demo reel that shows you can shoot, edit, and deliver finished work independently. Internship credits, student film projects, freelance client work, and YouTube or social content you produced yourself all count. Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro and a clear understanding of basic storytelling give candidates a genuine edge.
Which companies hire entry level video producers?
Companies hiring entry level video producers right now include Ralph Lauren, L3Harris, and IMG Academy, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring comes from a wide range of employers, including media companies, marketing agencies, corporate in-house teams, and nonprofits that maintain active content production operations.
Are there remote entry level video producer jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles still make up the majority of openings at this level. About 25% of entry level video producer openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, covering roles in post-production, social content editing, and digital marketing video where physical presence is less critical than for on-location production work.
Are these new grad video producer jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior video producer roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or student projects in place of full-time work history, or explicitly asks for a portfolio rather than a resume full of employer credits. If the job description emphasizes your reel over your work history, it is almost certainly open to new grads.
Which industries hire the most entry level video producers?
Entry Level video producer roles concentrate in Retail, Consumer Goods, and Sports & Recreation, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they maintain ongoing demand for short-form content, brand storytelling, and digital campaigns that entry level producers can contribute to immediately with the right portfolio.
