Key Job Elements

• Perform month end accounting tasks and reconciliations;
• Budget and forecasting duties for assigned area;
• Produce timely and accurate financial statements;
• Review and analyze open receivables;
• Support operations as needed;
• Monthly, quarterly and annual duties such as backlog, revenue reporting, etc;

Advanced duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for capital expenditures, inventory control and product costing;
• Ensure compliance with SOX;

Education / Training

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required;
• 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing accounting;

Qualifications and Experience

• 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting;
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems; manufacturing industry experience preferred;
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);
• Ability to work independently and with teams;
• CMA certification preferred;
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail;
• Microsoft Office skills required, expert skills with spreadsheets;

Essential and Physical Activities Functions

• Strength – Position typically involves work in a standard office environment. Occasional standing and walking. Heavy lifting is rare but may be required;
• Motion – Position regularly requires standard repetitive motions and hand/eye coordination associated with office communications. May require bending, lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, crouching, walking, etc. in cases where Safety investigations require them;
• Vision/Hearing Requirements – Constant verbal communications, including both talking and hearing;
• Work Environment – Position may involve occasional work in a non-temperature-controlled facility. Position will require occasional visits to industrial environment, including potential for noise (85+ decibels), frequent exposure to cold and temperature changes, exposure to hazardous materials, heavy equipment, high levels of dust, and other hazardous working conditions. May be required to remain for long periods of time in hazardous work environments to investigate and mitigate accidents/incidents;
• Emotional Demands – Responsible for audits and reporting. Requires interpersonal skills and communication;
• Safety – Position required to follow all safety guidelines and requirements.
