How You Will Make an Impact
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and process control systems to support safe and reliable mill operations.
- Install, repair, and optimize electrical distribution equipment, motors, controls, and instrumentation across the facility.
- Support operational reliability by identifying root causes of equipment issues and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and reliability teams to plan and execute maintenance activities that minimize downtime.
- Utilize and maintain PLC, DCS, VFD, and related automation systems to ensure efficient process performance.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, quality, and company standards while performing maintenance activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance equipment performance, reliability, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

What You Need to Succeed
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, and process control equipment.
- Ability to install, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and technical manuals.
- Working knowledge of motor controls, control valves, transmitters, instrumentation, and electrical distribution systems.
- Experience using electrical testing and calibration equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Ability to safely work around mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and callouts as needed.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree, technical diploma, or vocational training in Electrical Technology, Instrumentation, Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- Industrial maintenance experience in a pulp and paper, chemical processing, manufacturing, or continuous-process environment.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining PLC-based control systems.
- Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS), process instrumentation, and automation equipment.
- Experience maintaining Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), motor control centers (MCCs), and electrical distribution equipment.
- Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent industrial electrical training.
- Experience with predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures.
