Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Servers to join our fast-paced, high-volume restaurant at Prospectors Pizzeria Alehouse. As a Server, you will deliver outstanding guest experiences through attentive service, expert menu knowledge, and genuine Alaskan hospitality.
Only experienced servers who are passionate about creating memorable experiences and thrive in dynamic, seasonal environments should apply.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Consistently follow the Steps of Service to ensure a legendary guest experience.
- Provide professional and friendly table service by accurately taking and delivering food and beverage orders.
- Demonstrate strong menu knowledge, including daily specials, craft beers, and specialty drinks; actively upsell and suggest pairings to enhance the dining experience.
- Ensure food and beverages are presented attractively, with all necessary accompaniments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all service areas; restock supplies as needed.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries, requests, and feedback.
- Be adaptable to working both indoors and outdoors, often in varying Alaskan weather conditions.
- Rotate between service areas as needed to support team operations.
- Share local knowledge about Alaska and nearby attractions to enrich the guest experience.
Job Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in serving, customer service, or other front-of-house positions.
- Proficiency with POS systems (Toast preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong teamwork and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Required Certifications:
- Valid Alaska Food Handler Card.
- Current TAPS (Training for Alcohol Professionals) certification.
- Level 1 Beer Server certification through the Cicerone Certification Program (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire).
