Which companies sponsor visas for C.N.A.s in Arizona?
Banner Health, Dignity Health (now part of CommonSpirit Health), Valleywise Health, and Kindred Healthcare are among the larger Arizona employers with established HR infrastructure for sponsoring international healthcare workers. Long-term care chains operating multiple Arizona facilities, such as Ensign Group and PruittHealth, have also sponsored C.N.A.s, though sponsorship decisions vary by facility, staffing needs, and current visa availability.
Which visa types are most common for C.N.A. roles in Arizona?
C.N.A. roles typically fall under EB-3 immigrant visa sponsorship, which covers unskilled and semi-skilled workers, making it one of the more accessible permanent residency pathways for this occupation. Some international C.N.A.s also enter on H-2B temporary worker visas when facilities can demonstrate seasonal or short-term staffing needs. TN visas cover Canadian and Mexican nationals in certain nursing roles, though eligibility depends on the specific job duties and credentials.
Which cities in Arizona have the most C.N.A. sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix and its surrounding cities, including Mesa, Scottsdale, Chandler, and Glendale, account for the majority of C.N.A. sponsorship opportunities given the concentration of Banner Health campuses, hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities in the metro area. Tucson is the second-largest market, supported by Banner University Medical Center and numerous long-term care providers. Flagstaff and rural areas also have demand, particularly through Indian Health Service facilities serving tribal communities.
How to find c.n.a. visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find C.N.A. visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona, with listings filtered specifically for employers open to sponsoring international candidates. Beyond browsing Migrate Mate, it helps to target large health systems directly, as their career portals often indicate sponsorship availability. Focusing on multi-facility employers in the Phoenix metro and Tucson gives you the widest selection of active C.N.A. openings with sponsorship potential.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for international C.N.A. candidates?
International C.N.A. candidates must obtain Arizona state certification through the Arizona Nurse Aide Registry, which requires passing both a written and skills competency exam. Foreign-trained candidates may need credential evaluation before sitting for the exam. Arizona's high proportion of Medicare- and Medicaid-certified facilities means employers are subject to federal staffing standards, which can drive sponsorship demand. The state's growing retiree population in areas like Sun City and Green Valley also sustains consistent long-term care hiring.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored c.n.a. jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
