Which companies sponsor visas for healthcare assistants in Arizona?
Banner Health is the largest private employer in Arizona and has a history of sponsoring international healthcare workers across its Phoenix-area hospitals. Dignity Health, Valleywise Health, and Honor Health are other significant employers in the metro. In Tucson, Banner University Medical Center and Tucson Medical Center are active hiring institutions. Sponsorship is not guaranteed, and availability depends on each facility's staffing needs at the time of your application.
Which visa types are most common for healthcare assistant roles in Arizona?
H-1B visa is the most common visa for healthcare assistants whose roles require a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as a clinical or health sciences discipline. EB-3 immigrant visas are also used in healthcare support hiring, particularly for roles with ongoing staffing shortages. Some positions may qualify under TN visa status for Canadian and Mexican nationals if the role fits an eligible USMCA occupation category. Your employer's immigration counsel determines which pathway applies to your specific position.
Which cities in Arizona have the most healthcare assistant sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix has the highest concentration of healthcare assistant sponsorship opportunities in Arizona, driven by its large hospital networks, outpatient clinics, and growing population. Scottsdale and Mesa, both within the greater Phoenix metro, also see consistent hiring activity. Tucson is the second-largest market, anchored by Banner University Medical Center and the University of Arizona Health Sciences system. Smaller cities like Flagstaff and Chandler have more limited sponsorship activity.
How to find healthcare assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S., including healthcare assistant roles in Arizona. You can filter by state and role to surface positions at employers with a demonstrated sponsorship history. This is more efficient than broad searches, since most general job boards don't distinguish between employers willing to sponsor and those who are not. Creating a profile on Migrate Mate helps match you with relevant Arizona openings as they become available.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for healthcare assistant visa sponsorship?
Arizona's Department of Health Services requires healthcare assistants to meet state licensing or certification standards, such as a Certified Nursing Assistant credential for certain roles, which can affect your eligibility timeline as an international candidate. Arizona's healthcare sector has grown significantly due to population influx from other states, keeping demand for support staff high across both urban and rural facilities. The University of Arizona and Arizona State University also generate pipelines of internationally trained healthcare graduates who remain in-state for employment.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored healthcare assistant jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
