Which companies sponsor visas for product software engineers in Arizona?
Intel's Chandler campus, Microchip Technology, GoDaddy, and Honeywell are among the more consistent H-1B sponsors for product software engineers in Arizona. Larger tech employers like Amazon and Apple have expanded their Tempe and Phoenix footprints and have documented sponsorship histories. Semiconductor and enterprise software firms in the Greater Phoenix area account for a significant share of sponsorship activity in this role category.
Which visa types are most common for product software engineer roles in Arizona?
The H-1B is the primary visa category for product software engineers in Arizona, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Australian citizens may qualify for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery. Canadian and Mexican nationals can explore the TN visa under the software engineer classification.
Which cities in Arizona have the most product software engineer sponsorship jobs?
The Phoenix metro area, specifically Tempe, Scottsdale, Chandler, and Phoenix proper, holds the overwhelming majority of product software engineer sponsorship opportunities in Arizona. Chandler is a hub for semiconductor employers like Intel and Microchip Technology. Tempe attracts fintech and SaaS companies. Tucson has a smaller but active engineering market tied to Raytheon and the University of Arizona's tech programs.
How to find product software engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have a documented history of visa sponsorship, making it easier to focus your search on product software engineer positions in Arizona without sorting through listings from employers unlikely to sponsor. You can filter by state and role to surface relevant openings in the Phoenix metro and Tucson areas without wading through irrelevant results.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for product software engineers pursuing visa sponsorship?
Arizona's Department of Labor prevailing wage determinations for product software engineers are generally benchmarked to the Phoenix metropolitan area, which can differ from rates in smaller Arizona markets. The state's semiconductor industry cluster, supported by CHIPS Act investments in the Phoenix corridor, has increased H-1B filing activity. Arizona State University and the University of Arizona also feed engineering talent pipelines that some employers actively recruit from and sponsor.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product software engineer jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
