Which companies sponsor visas for physical therapy assistants in Arkansas?
Baptist Health, UAMS Medical Center, Arkansas Children's Hospital, and Select Rehabilitation are among the larger employers in Arkansas with documented histories of sponsoring healthcare workers. Outpatient networks and long-term care operators also sponsor PTAs, though sponsorship activity tends to be higher at hospital systems and national rehabilitation therapy contractors operating within the state.
Which visa types are most common for physical therapy assistant roles in Arkansas?
The H-1B visa is the most common route for PTAs in Arkansas, though it requires the role to meet specialty occupation standards, which can vary by employer and job description. The EB-3 employment-based green card is a frequent immigrant pathway for PTAs willing to pursue permanent residence. Some international candidates also enter through the TN visa if they hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship and meet the physical therapy criteria.
Which cities in Arkansas have the most physical therapy assistant sponsorship jobs?
Little Rock has the highest concentration of PTA sponsorship opportunities in Arkansas, driven by its cluster of major hospital systems and rehabilitation centers. Fayetteville and Fort Smith follow, supported by regional medical centers and growing outpatient clinic networks. Rural areas across the state also see demand given persistent healthcare workforce shortages, which can make smaller markets more open to sponsoring international candidates.
How to find physical therapy assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Arkansas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters physical therapy assistant roles in Arkansas by visa sponsorship availability, saving you time sorting through postings that won't support work authorization. Because PTA roles in Arkansas require state licensure from the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy, it helps to have your credentials evaluated and licensure process underway before applying, as employers factor this into sponsorship decisions.
What state-specific considerations affect PTA visa sponsorship in Arkansas?
Arkansas requires PTAs to hold an active state license from the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy before practicing, and most sponsoring employers will want licensure confirmed or in progress before extending a visa-sponsored offer. The state participates in the Physical Therapy Compact, which can simplify licensure for candidates already licensed in other compact member states. Prevailing wage requirements under DOL guidelines apply to all H-1B and PERM-based sponsorships in Arkansas.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored physical therapy assistant jobs in Arkansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
