Which companies sponsor visas for enterprise account executives in California?
Large enterprise software and cloud companies are the most consistent sponsors for this role in California. Salesforce, Adobe, Workday, ServiceNow, Oracle, and Palo Alto Networks have documented histories of H-1B visa filings for senior sales positions. Multinational technology companies with established legal and HR infrastructure are generally better positioned to navigate sponsorship than early-stage startups, though well-funded growth-stage companies do sponsor in this role as well.
Which visa types are most common for enterprise account executive roles in California?
The H-1B is the most commonly used visa category for enterprise account executives in California, particularly where the role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, marketing, or a technical discipline and involves complex solution selling. The L-1B and L-1A are also relevant for candidates transferring within a multinational company. The O-1A is an option for candidates with demonstrable career distinction, though it carries a high evidentiary bar.
Which cities in California have the most enterprise account executive sponsorship jobs?
San Francisco and the broader Bay Area account for the largest share of enterprise account executive sponsorship roles in California, driven by the density of enterprise SaaS companies headquartered there. San Jose and Santa Clara are particularly active given the Silicon Valley concentration of technology vendors. Los Angeles is a growing market, especially for media, adtech, and entertainment software companies. San Diego has a meaningful cluster of cybersecurity and life sciences software employers.
How to find enterprise account executive visa sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters enterprise account executive roles in California by visa sponsorship availability, so you are not sorting through postings that do not apply to your situation. The platform surfaces employers with verified sponsorship histories, which is particularly useful in California where the volume of open sales roles can make it difficult to identify which companies will genuinely support an H-1B or other visa petition.
Are there state-specific considerations for enterprise account executive visa sponsorship in California?
California's strong worker protections and its concentration of large, legally sophisticated employers generally create a favorable environment for sponsored hires. Because H-1B petitions for sales roles require demonstrating specialty occupation status, employers in California typically document degree requirements and the analytical complexity of the role carefully. The state's prevailing wage requirements, set at the federal level by the Department of Labor, apply to all H-1B filings and are based on the metropolitan statistical area where the employee works, which matters given California's multiple distinct labor markets.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored enterprise account executive jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
