Position Summary:
Maintenance, troubleshooting and operation of next generation electrical propulsion and energy storage systems. Provide ground level support and training to engineering and mechanic staff to ensure vessel operations are safe and stable. Responsibilities include commissioning, testing, and developing PMs to ensure that ESS and power generation systems are always maintained and operational. Developing regular inspections and reporting to upper management. Leading repairs when necessary, including ESS module replacement, install and maintenance of high-powered DC fast chargers, fuel cell repair and operation, and advanced maintenance inside the hybrid control systems inverter rack.

- Reporting accurately and completely on projects and problems
- Mentoring crewmembers on knowledge and workmanship and ensuring issues get resolved quickly and smoothly
- Troubleshooting, Servicing and Maintaining:
- Lithium ESS at the array, pack, module, and cell level
- DC Fast Charging System including cables and cooling
- PLC systems including OPTO, CANBUS, MODBUS
- Inverters, rectifiers, buck-boost converters and IGBTs
- All operations-critical vehicles, machinery, and equipment
- Maintaining an accurate and comprehensive electronic record of all work
- General building maintenance & repair tasks
- Competent electrical troubleshooting and repair
- Predicting and meeting all department engineering needs including internal / external audits and contractual requirements
- Interpreting test data, reporting summarized results or issues to management
- Ensuring all engineering operations protect the visitors, cultural and historic resources, and the park
- Learning new skills and information as needed to problem solve. Seeks guidance or assistance when necessary
- Maintaining tools & workspace in a clean and operational state. Performing maintenance on tools when applicable
- Mastery of power generation and propulsion systems onboard vessels and at the Island
- Ensures all engineering systems stay on or ahead of best practices maintenance schedules
- Maintenance of department inventories, including tools, parts, and equipment
- Supporting SEAT operations as necessary to deliver a safe and reliable guest experience
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in EE, ME, MET, FET, or related field.
- 4 years of specialized industry experience may be substituted at management’s discretion.
- Functional understanding of electricity and the relevant safe industry practices for working around it.
- HAZWOPER certificate (40 hours)
- Forklift Certification
- CPR & First Aid Certification
- Advanced circuitry including use of Oscilloscope, soldering iron and other low level hardware repairs.
- Cloud computing literacy, with competence using all MS products, including Forms, Flow, Excel, and Adobe.
- Working knowledge of CMMS software is strongly preferred.
- Valid CA Driver's License.
