Which companies sponsor visas for AI product engineers in Colorado?
Several Colorado employers have a documented history of sponsoring work visas for AI and technical product roles. These include Palantir Technologies (headquartered in Denver), Google's Boulder engineering office, Lockheed Martin's advanced technology division, and a growing number of AI-focused startups backed by Colorado's venture community. Larger enterprise software and defense tech firms in the Denver metro tend to have established immigration support infrastructure.
Which visa types are most common for AI product engineer roles in Colorado?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for AI product engineers in Colorado, as the role typically requires at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, which satisfies the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with advanced degrees may also explore the EB-2 NIW pathway for self-sponsorship. Australians working in this field may qualify for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and renews indefinitely.
Which cities in Colorado have the most AI product engineer sponsorship jobs?
Denver accounts for the largest share of AI product engineering roles with visa sponsorship in Colorado, driven by its concentration of tech companies, defense contractors, and AI startups. Boulder is a close second, with a strong university-linked pipeline from CU Boulder and a dense startup community. Colorado Springs has a smaller but growing presence, particularly among defense and aerospace technology employers.
How to find ai product engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles offering visa sponsorship, so you can search AI product engineer positions in Colorado without sifting through companies that don't sponsor. The platform is built for international candidates and surfaces employers who have an active sponsorship history. Searching by state and role on Migrate Mate saves significant time compared to manually screening general job boards.
Are there state-specific factors that affect AI product engineer visa sponsorship in Colorado?
Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers to disclose compensation ranges in job postings, which gives international candidates clearer information when evaluating roles and assessing whether an offer meets H-1B prevailing wage requirements. The state's concentration of defense and aerospace employers also means some AI product roles may require U.S. citizenship or security clearance eligibility, which can affect sponsorship availability for international applicants.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored ai product engineer jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
