Which companies sponsor visas for care assistants in Colorado?
UCHealth, Centura Health, SCL Health, and Intermountain Healthcare are among the larger Colorado health systems with established HR infrastructure for sponsoring work visas. Home health agencies and long-term care facilities, particularly those affiliated with national chains like Brookdale Senior Living or Sunrise Senior Living, have also filed sponsorship petitions for care assistant roles in Colorado.
Which visa types are most common for care assistant roles in Colorado?
H-1B visas are uncommon for care assistants because most entry-level care roles do not meet the specialty occupation standard requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field. EB-3 immigrant visas are more common, as many care assistant positions qualify under the unskilled or semi-skilled worker category. Some employers also use the TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare roles.
Which cities in Colorado have the most care assistant sponsorship jobs?
Denver accounts for the largest share of care assistant sponsorship opportunities in Colorado, given its concentration of major hospital systems and senior living facilities. Colorado Springs and Aurora also have consistent demand, driven by growing senior populations and expanding healthcare networks. Fort Collins and Boulder see lower volume but have active home health and disability services sectors worth exploring.
How to find care assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse care assistant roles in Colorado without sorting through positions that do not offer sponsorship. Searching for care assistant, personal care aide, or certified nursing assistant roles on Migrate Mate and filtering to Colorado will surface employers actively filing or open to sponsorship petitions for international candidates.
Are there any Colorado-specific considerations for care assistants seeking visa sponsorship?
Colorado requires care assistants working in licensed facilities to meet state certification standards, which can affect how employers classify roles for visa petition purposes. The state's competitive healthcare hiring environment, driven partly by a large rural care gap and a growing elderly population along the Front Range, means some employers are more open to sponsoring international candidates than in states with larger local labor pools.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored care assistant jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
