Which companies sponsor visas for clinical medical assistants in Colorado?
Colorado's largest healthcare employers, including UCHealth, Centura Health, SCL Health (now Intermountain Health), and Children's Hospital Colorado, have historically sponsored work visas for healthcare support staff. Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) operating across the state also tend to have structured HR processes that support sponsorship, particularly for roles in underserved or rural communities with persistent staffing shortages.
Which visa types are most common for clinical medical assistant roles in Colorado?
The H-1B visa is the most commonly discussed option, but clinical medical assistant roles can be difficult to qualify under the specialty occupation standard, which requires a position tied to a specific bachelor's-level field. Some candidates explore TN visa status if they are Canadian or Mexican nationals in an eligible professional category. Employer-sponsored immigrant visa pathways, such as EB-3, are also used for healthcare support roles when employers are willing to pursue the PERM labor certification process.
Which cities in Colorado have the most clinical medical assistant sponsorship jobs?
Denver and its surrounding metro area, including Aurora, Lakewood, and Englewood, account for the highest concentration of clinical medical assistant positions in Colorado. Colorado Springs is a secondary hub with a significant number of outpatient and military-affiliated healthcare facilities. Fort Collins and Boulder also have active hiring markets tied to regional health systems and university medical affiliates serving growing communities along the Front Range.
How to find clinical medical assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate is specifically designed to help international candidates find clinical medical assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado. The platform filters job listings by role and state, surfacing positions from employers that have indicated openness to sponsorship. Rather than sorting through general job boards where sponsorship status is unclear, Migrate Mate focuses your search on Colorado healthcare employers actively hiring for clinical medical assistant roles with visa support.
Are there any Colorado-specific factors that affect clinical medical assistant visa sponsorship?
Colorado participates in the federal J-1 visa waiver program, which can create pathways for foreign-trained healthcare professionals to work in Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) across the state. Rural counties in eastern Colorado and the San Luis Valley frequently qualify as shortage areas, making sponsorship somewhat more viable there. Colorado's ongoing primary care expansion and Medicaid growth also mean that community health centers in these regions maintain more consistent hiring activity for clinical support staff.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored clinical medical assistant jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
