Which companies sponsor visas for clinical medical assistants in Arkansas?
The largest sponsoring employers for clinical medical assistants in Arkansas tend to be major hospital systems and integrated health networks. UAMS Medical Center, Baptist Health, Arkansas Children's Hospital, and CHI St. Vincent are among the organizations with established HR infrastructure to support visa petitions. Smaller private practices rarely sponsor due to administrative costs, so targeting large health systems gives international candidates the strongest footing.
Which visa types are most common for clinical medical assistant roles in Arkansas?
Clinical medical assistant positions in Arkansas most commonly involve H-1B sponsorship when the role requires a bachelor's degree in a health-related field and meets the specialty occupation standard. However, many clinical medical assistant positions are classified as non-specialty occupations, which can complicate H-1B eligibility. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals with qualifying credentials. EB-3 immigrant visas are another pathway some Arkansas health employers use for longer-term hires.
Which cities in Arkansas have the most clinical medical assistant sponsorship jobs?
Little Rock is the clear center of clinical medical assistant hiring in Arkansas, home to UAMS, Baptist Health flagship facilities, and Arkansas Children's Hospital. Fayetteville and Springdale in the northwest corridor have seen growth tied to expanding health systems serving the Walmart corporate workforce area. Jonesboro, anchored by NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital and St. Bernards Medical Center, represents a secondary market with consistent clinical support hiring.
How to find clinical medical assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Arkansas?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find clinical medical assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Arkansas, with listings filtered specifically for roles where employers have demonstrated willingness to sponsor international candidates. Rather than sorting through unfiltered postings, you can focus on Arkansas health systems actively seeking clinical medical assistants with visa needs. Creating a profile and setting Arkansas location preferences helps surface relevant openings as they are posted.
Are there any state-specific considerations for clinical medical assistants seeking sponsorship in Arkansas?
Arkansas does not require statewide licensure for clinical medical assistants, but many employers prefer or require national certification such as CMA through the AAMA or RMA through AMT. UAMS, as an academic medical center, occasionally draws internationally trained candidates through its affiliated training programs. The prevailing wage determination for any sponsored role is set by the Department of Labor based on the specific county in Arkansas where the position is located, so wages vary between Little Rock metro and rural areas.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored clinical medical assistant jobs in Arkansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
