Which companies sponsor visas for healthcare assistants in Colorado?
UCHealth, Centura Health (now CommonSpirit Health), and SCL Health are among the larger Colorado health systems with established HR infrastructure for visa sponsorship. Denver Health and Children's Hospital Colorado also hire healthcare assistants and have sponsored international workers. Larger hospital networks are generally better positioned to manage the administrative requirements of sponsorship than smaller clinics or private practices.
Which visa types are most common for healthcare assistant roles in Colorado?
The H-1B is the most widely used work visa for healthcare roles requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field, though healthcare assistant positions often fall outside the specialty occupation threshold. The EB-3 immigrant visa category covers skilled and unskilled workers and is used for direct patient care roles. Some employers also use the TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare occupations.
Which cities in Colorado have the most healthcare assistant sponsorship jobs?
Denver and Aurora account for the largest share of healthcare assistant openings in Colorado, driven by major medical campuses including the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Colorado Springs has a growing healthcare sector with facilities like UCHealth Memorial Hospital. Boulder and Fort Collins also have active hiring through regional health systems, making the Front Range corridor the primary geography for sponsored roles.
How to find healthcare assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship eligibility, making it straightforward to find healthcare assistant roles in Colorado without sorting through positions that don't support international candidates. You can search by state and role type to surface openings at Colorado health systems. Creating a profile on Migrate Mate also helps match your credentials to employers actively seeking internationally trained healthcare workers.
Are there state-specific considerations for healthcare assistants seeking sponsorship in Colorado?
Colorado requires healthcare assistants to meet state certification standards, and employers factor credentialing timelines into their sponsorship decisions. The Anschutz Medical Campus pipeline means many sponsored candidates enter through academic medical center affiliations. Colorado's prevailing wage requirements under H-1B and EB-3 rules apply, so employers must confirm the offered compensation meets the Department of Labor's posted wage for the specific occupation and geographic area.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored healthcare assistant jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
