INTRODUCTION
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing activities related to the Air Methods infrastructure. Focus on systems or network administration, maintenance, updates, performance, planning, documentation, and optimization. Tier 4/expert level troubleshooting and problem solving required, as is a working understanding of connected networks or systems such as servers, storage, datacenter/cloud applications and utilities including Office 365 and VPN technologies, WAN/LAN connectivity, and client environments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides hands-on expertise in solving advanced technical problems and working with teams to develop long-term strategic plans and scalable solutions
- Analyzes infrastructure technology trends and works with IT leadership to develop infrastructure strategy, solutions, architecture, and delivery processes designed for stability, agility and cost effectiveness
- Oversees and executes technology initiatives to design, build, and maintain key elements of the firm’s enterprise infrastructure and associated project portfolio, including but not limited to 24x7 data center infrastructure management and evolution, mobility and remote access services, ubiquitous wireless networks, enterprise-scale messaging environments, active directory multi-forest integration, dual-carrier global WAN, software-defined internetworking, and innovative end user computing solutions
- Recommends and implements operational and infrastructure changes as well as improvements to tools and processes
- Manages documentation, internal training, and support transition/ongoing improvement for enterprise systems
- Other Duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and five to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Project management experience on large implementation projects
- Experience creating relationships with and managing vendors
- Experience evaluating processes and recommending IT solutions to improve processes

- Expert level ability to solve technical problems and provide long-term, scalable solutions
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment and create structure
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Strong team player
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and direct teams to accomplish goals
- Ability to operate independently and be self-driven
- Ability to efficiently and effectively analyze systems, data, processes and related information as well as the ability to document complex functions
- Demonstrated experience identifying and documenting detailed business requirements, and preparing detailed design documents
- Ability to express highly technical concepts to a non-technical audience
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Working knowledge of at least one cloud IAAS platform (Azure, AWS, etc)
- Expert level skill in designing, building, updating, and maintaining networks and network systems
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on capability with other common Citrix, Microsoft, and Cisco technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Visio
