We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations across our global facilities. Your expertise will drive the deployment of virtualization solutions, manage cloud services, and support our software development initiatives, contributing to our commitment to innovation and sustainability.
DUTIES:
- Manage and optimize virtualization environments using VMware and other tools to ensure high availability and performance of IT systems.
- Support and maintain operating systems including Windows, Linux, and UNIX, ensuring security and stability across all platforms.
- Develop and implement scripting solutions using Bash, Shell Scripting, Python, or Java to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
- Oversee cloud infrastructure deployments on AWS and Azure, including configuring virtual networks such as VPNs for secure remote access.
- Collaborate with development teams to support APIs integration, DevOps practices, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and implement upgrades or patches as needed to maintain optimal operation.
- Ensure data integrity by managing databases such as SQL, Oracle, and implementing backup/recovery procedures aligned with best practices.
SKILLS:
- Strong knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies and IT infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in operating systems including Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure for deploying scalable solutions.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), Python, Java, and Shell Scripting for automation purposes.
