Kforce has a client in Denver, CO that is seeking a Senior Network Engineer - Team Lead that serves as the technical lead for the team within the business unit. This is a hybrid role that combines deep network engineering expertise with Agile leadership/product ownership, guiding a small team in delivering scalable, secure, and resilient communications solutions across field sites and control centers. Responsibilities:
- Lead the team in translating high-level architectural designs into actionable low-level implementations
- Provide oversight to ensure technical quality, scalability, security, and reliability of all operations technology network solutions
- Act as a product owner for the team, managing the backlog, prioritizing work, and participating in SAFe ceremonies
Requirements
- Ability to translate high-level network architecture into detailed designs
- Hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
- Cellular, satellite, point-to-point, and microwave technologies
- Familiarity with tools like Ansible, Terraform, Netbox, Nautobot, Itential
- Experience with Network as Code and automated deployment practices
- Deep understanding of all OSI layers for complex issue resolution
- Leadership & Agile skills: Mentoring, reviewing deliverables, ensuring standards and scalability
- Agile Product Ownership experience: Managing backlog, writing user stories, prioritizing work
- SAFe Framework experience: Leading PI Planning, Sprint Planning, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt workshops
- Demonstrate strong soft skills, including proactive communication, leadership, and the ability to influence peers and senior leadership
- Bring emerging technology expertise (e.g., Network as Code, CI/CD pipelines) to drive automation and operational efficiency
Platform & Environment expertise:
- Cisco/Microsoft environments (Arista is a plus)
- SD-WAN technologies
- Operational Technology (OT) & Industrial Control Systems (highly preferred)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
