Which companies sponsor visas for operations interns in Colorado?
Arrow Electronics, DaVita, and Palantir are among the Colorado-headquartered employers with established internship infrastructure and a history of H-1B sponsorship for full-time hires, which often reflects broader sponsorship willingness. Technology and healthcare operations roles in the Denver metro tend to see more international hiring activity than smaller regional employers.
Which visa types are most common for operations intern roles in Colorado?
Most international operations interns in Colorado work under F-1 CPT during their studies or F-1 OPT after graduation, since these permit work authorization without requiring the employer to file a separate petition. For interns who convert to full-time roles, H-1B sponsorship becomes relevant. J-1 intern and trainee categories are also used, typically through a designated program sponsor.
Which cities in Colorado have the most operations intern sponsorship jobs?
Denver accounts for the largest share of operations intern opportunities in Colorado, given its concentration of corporate headquarters, logistics hubs, and healthcare systems. Boulder follows closely, driven by its tech sector and proximity to CU Boulder. Fort Collins and Colorado Springs have a smaller but active market, particularly tied to manufacturing operations and defense contractors.
How to find operations intern visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate filters operations intern roles by sponsorship status, so you can focus specifically on Colorado employers open to international candidates rather than applying broadly and discovering sponsorship limitations late in the process. CU Boulder and Colorado State University career centers also post Colorado-specific operations internships with CPT and OPT eligibility noted, which is worth checking alongside Migrate Mate.
Are there state-specific considerations for operations interns seeking sponsorship in Colorado?
Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers to post compensation ranges in job listings, which gives international candidates useful context when evaluating whether a role meets prevailing wage requirements for visa purposes. The state's strong university pipeline, particularly from CU Boulder's Leeds School of Business and Colorado State, means operations intern roles frequently attract international applicants and some employers have built familiarity with CPT and OPT processes as a result.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations intern jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
