About the role
We are looking for a Video QA / Lab Test Engineer to test video products and set-top boxes (STBs) in our lab. You will set up and troubleshoot devices, run manual tests, report defects and support our automated test environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual video and STB testing, including playback, navigation and feature checks.
- Set up, configure and troubleshoot lab devices and test environments.
- Execute test plans and test cases, and record results accurately.
- Find, document and report defects with clear steps to reproduce.
- Support automated test environments by keeping devices and setups ready and working.
- Work with QA, engineering and lab teammates to retest fixes and confirm releases.
Required qualifications
- About 3 years of experience in video, STB or device QA, or lab test support.
- Hands-on experience with manual video or STB testing.
- Device setup and troubleshooting skills.
- Test execution and defect reporting experience (e.g., Jira).
- Experience supporting automated test environments.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of streaming or video formats and set-top box platforms.
- Basic scripting or log reading.
