- Validate clinical assumptions behind algorithms, savings logic, and client configurations to keep ROI claims evidence-based and auditable
- Lead audit strategy, preparation, and response across client, regulatory, and third-party audits, maintaining an always-on inspection-ready posture
- Oversee deviation, investigation, CAPA, and quality-event processes, driving root-cause analysis and systemic improvement
- Define and report quality KPIs (defect rates, audit findings, SLA adherence, savings-validation coverage) through executive dashboards
- Build and lead the QA organization, including hiring, career pathing, onboarding, and succession planning
- Drive cross-functional adoption of quality standards across Operations, Product, Data, and Technology without direct authority
- Chair the Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committee, leading clinical decision governance
Basic Requirements
- Typically requires 12+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance, quality governance, or regulated operations, including 4+ years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated experience building or operationalizing an enterprise QMS from inception (policies, SOPs, controls, documentation governance)
- Experience leading audit strategy, preparation, execution, and response across client, regulatory, or third-party audits
- Experience evaluating clinical or algorithmic risk and translating findings into business terms (ROI, compliance, client trust)
- Track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams within SaaS, healthcare technology, PBM, pharma, biotech, or another regulated healthcare environment
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience

- Professional quality certification (ASQ CQA, CQE, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with Salesforce, JIRA, Tableau, Databricks, or similar platforms used in quality reporting and workflow management
- Experience in PBM, benefits administration, or regulated healthcare services
- Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to translate QA risk into business impact for senior leadership

Which companies sponsor visas for QA engineers in Kansas?
Several established Kansas employers have sponsored QA engineers through work visas, including Garmin and Cerner in the Overland Park and Kansas City metro area, and Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita. Larger financial services firms and agtech companies in the region also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data as sponsors for quality assurance and software testing roles.
Which visa types are most common for QA engineer roles in Kansas?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for QA engineers in Kansas, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Some employers also sponsor through the L-1B for intracompany transferees with specialized knowledge, and O-1 visa petitions are occasionally used for candidates with documented exceptional ability.
Which cities in Kansas have the most QA engineer sponsorship jobs?
Overland Park and the broader Kansas City metro area on the Kansas side account for the largest concentration of QA engineer sponsorship activity, particularly in software, fintech, and healthcare IT. Wichita is the second-largest hub, driven by aerospace and manufacturing quality roles at companies like Spirit AeroSystems and Textron Aviation. Lawrence and Manhattan see smaller but steady demand tied to university-affiliated employers.
How to find qa engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters QA engineer roles in Kansas by visa sponsorship eligibility, saving you from manually screening hundreds of listings. Beyond the job board, it helps you understand which Kansas employers have a documented history of sponsoring H-1B and other work visas for quality assurance and software testing positions.
Are there any state-specific considerations for QA engineers seeking visa sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas does not impose state-level work visa requirements beyond federal standards, but the prevailing wage your employer must pay is determined by the specific metro area under Department of Labor guidelines, so wages certified for Wichita differ from those for Overland Park. Kansas State University and the University of Kansas also produce engineering graduates who enter local hiring pipelines, which can influence employer sponsorship familiarity in those markets.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored qa engineer jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
