Which companies sponsor visas for QA engineers in Georgia?
Several large employers in Georgia have documented histories of sponsoring work visas for QA engineers. NCR Voyix, Fiserv, Cox Enterprises, Delta Air Lines, and UPS all operate significant technology teams in the Atlanta metro area and have filed Labor Condition Applications for quality assurance roles. Healthcare IT firms like Change Healthcare and Optum, both with Georgia operations, also sponsor QA talent regularly.
Which visa types are most common for QA engineer roles in Georgia?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for QA engineers in Georgia, as quality assurance engineering typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. The L-1B is another pathway for QA professionals transferring within a multinational company. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian or Mexican nationals may be eligible under the TN visa category.
Which cities in Georgia have the most QA engineer sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the overwhelming majority of QA engineer visa sponsorship activity in Georgia, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and a dense fintech corridor along the Peachtree Street corridor. Alpharetta, often called the FinTech capital of the U.S., is a secondary hub with companies like NCR Voyix and SS&C Technologies nearby. Dunwoody and Midtown Atlanta also host notable tech employer clusters.
How to find qa engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by role and state to see QA engineer positions in Georgia where employers have indicated visa sponsorship availability. Because sponsorship willingness is often not listed on general job postings, Migrate Mate surfaces opportunities that are otherwise easy to miss. Focusing on Atlanta metro employers with established H-1B filing histories gives you the strongest starting point.
Are there state-specific factors that affect QA engineer visa sponsorship in Georgia?
Georgia's university pipeline, particularly from Georgia Tech and Georgia State University, produces a large pool of software and systems engineering graduates, which has helped normalize visa sponsorship among Atlanta-area tech employers. The state's fintech and healthcare IT industries are subject to DOL prevailing wage requirements tied to the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell metropolitan statistical area, which employers must meet when filing Labor Condition Applications for QA engineer roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored qa engineer jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
