JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a software quality assurance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in verification and validation of complex software. You will be a key contributor in a team developing next generation solutions for our Lithography Business Unit. This position offers the unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your contributions will have a direct impact on the success of our products.
- Perform requirements-based and system level testing ensuring quality and efficiency for Onto's Lithography Business Unit solutions
- Analyze and verify software requirements for testability, clarity and completeness
- Develop comprehensive test plans for new features and products
- Investigate, reproduce, log and escalate issues/defects
- Develop efficient test strategies (test cases and procedures) for the different sub-systems comprising the product
- Develop and execute automated and manual tests, regression, functional, and acceptance tests
- Conduct thorough testing software to ensure high-quality and reliable operation
- Participate in the design and implementation of new features and functionalities
- Cross-functional collaboration with software, hardware, manufacturing and applications teams to validate software
- Applicants must possess the ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Ability to understand requirements and design test strategies and plans based on those requirements
- 2+ years in software testing and/or systems level testing for highly technical applications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail and quality
- Ability to design and execute test strategies and plans based on requirements and functional designs
- Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Linux is a plus
- Experience with TestRail is a plus
- Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban is a plus
- Experience in a programming language such as C, Python, or Java is a plus
- Experience working in the semiconductor industry or other high-tech STEM industry
- Ability to travel both domestically (~10%) and internationally (infrequent and only when needed)

- Base Salary Range: $72,080.00 - $108,120.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.
