Search Director, Product Management Jobs in ConnecticutDirector, Product Management Jobs in Connecticut: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for director, product management roles in Connecticut?
Hartford-based insurers such as Cigna and The Hartford have sponsored director-level product management roles, as have Stamford-headquartered firms including Synchrony Financial and Charter Communications. Pharmaceutical and biotech employers in the New Haven corridor, including those affiliated with Yale New Haven Health, also hire senior product leaders and have H-1B visa sponsorship histories documented in Department of Labor disclosure data.
Which visa types are most common for director, product management roles in Connecticut?
The H-1B is the most common visa for director, product management roles in Connecticut. These positions typically qualify as specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Candidates already holding L-1A status through an intracompany transfer are also well-positioned, as director roles often satisfy the managerial or executive classification requirements.
Which cities in Connecticut have the most director, product management sponsorship jobs?
Stamford generates the highest concentration of senior product management openings, driven by its dense cluster of financial services and media company headquarters. Hartford follows closely, anchored by its insurance industry employers. New Haven sees activity from healthtech and biotech product roles, particularly companies connected to Yale University's research and commercialization ecosystem. Bridgeport and Norwalk also have smaller but active hiring markets.
How to find director, product management visa sponsorship jobs in Connecticut?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, which matters at the director level where not every posting includes that detail upfront. Searching Migrate Mate for director, product management roles in Connecticut surfaces positions from Hartford's insurance sector, Stamford's corporate headquarters, and New Haven's healthtech companies where employers have confirmed sponsorship willingness for senior product leaders.
Are there state-specific considerations for director, product management sponsorship in Connecticut?
Connecticut's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B positions at the director level are set against a high-cost labor market, particularly in Fairfield County, where Stamford is located. Employers must pay the higher of the actual wage or the prevailing wage as determined by Department of Labor data. Director-level product roles in Connecticut's financial services and insurance sectors tend to meet prevailing wage thresholds given the seniority of the position.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored director, product management jobs in Connecticut?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
