Position Summary:
The Successful Manufacturing Engineer Intern Candidate will be assigned a variety and mix of different assignments every day. The Intern Candidate will be trained in skill sets that the student may have had previous academics / training but that would benefit the Student for strengthening and refinement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Manufacturing Engineer Intern-1 Candidate will be focused on the existing Single Ply Cutter (SPC) Assembly, Test & Pack Operations. The Intern-1 Candidate will be required to learn a variety of Assembly Processes, Test Processes, Machine Set-up & Operation Processes, required to develop and document Work Instructions, perform Time Studies, Capacity Studies and complete Material Handling and Work Station Layout Analysis.
PROFILE:
Candidate for Associates of Science (AS) / Bachelors of Science (BS) Mechanical Engineering, AS / BS Industrial Engineering, AS / BS Biomedical Engineering, AS / BS Electrical / Computer / Electronics Engineering, AS / BS Information Technology.
- Proficient with MicroSoft Office (WORD, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Some Skills with SolidWorks.
- Excellent Organizational skills and Time Management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications.
- Interested and willing to be trained in SAP ERP System, Internal ECO System, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance, Test Methods and Inspection Gauges & Instruments, as well as other Production Equipment, Hardware / Software Tools.
Must be able and available to work full time at the Tolland factory 5-days per week, working in an Industrial & Manufacturing Factory and be able to lift 25-lbs.
