- Draft summaries, slide content, and internal communications for business stakeholders.
- Support the coordination of accelerator programs, demo days, and ecosystem events, including logistics, scheduling, and materials preparation.
- Assist with preparing materials for partnership and proof-of-concept discussions between startups and internal teams.
- Communicate findings, observations, and recommendations clearly to team members and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Prior work experience with startups - including internships at startups, incubators, accelerators, or other startup-facing roles is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise briefs for senior audiences.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and comfort learning new tools quickly.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and operate independently in ambiguous environments.

Search Manufacturing Jobs in CaliforniaManufacturing CPT Sponsorship Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
Which manufacturing companies sponsor F-1 CPT visas in California?
California-based manufacturers that have historically engaged F-1 CPT students include Applied Materials and Lam Research in semiconductor equipment, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman in aerospace, Tesla in electric vehicle manufacturing, and Genentech in biopharmaceutical production. CPT authorization depends on your school and program requirements, not solely on employer willingness, so confirm eligibility with your DSO before pursuing any offer.
Which cities in California have the most manufacturing F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs?
The San Jose and Santa Clara area concentrates semiconductor and electronics manufacturing. Los Angeles and Long Beach anchor aerospace, defense, and medical device production. San Diego has a strong biotech and life sciences manufacturing presence. The Sacramento and Central Valley regions offer food processing and agricultural manufacturing roles. Each cluster draws from nearby universities with engineering and applied sciences programs that commonly support CPT.
What types of manufacturing roles typically qualify for F-1 CPT sponsorship?
Roles that align with engineering, supply chain, and applied sciences degree programs qualify most consistently. Common examples include process engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing operations, production planning, and materials engineering internships. The position must be directly tied to your declared major and integrated into your academic program. Roles in general administration or sales within a manufacturing company typically do not meet CPT eligibility requirements.
How do I find manufacturing F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate lists manufacturing jobs with F-1 CPT sponsorship in California, filtered by visa type and industry so you are not sorting through postings that do not apply to your situation. Beyond Migrate Mate, your university's career center is a strong resource since CPT must be approved by your DSO and tied to your program. Many California universities have established relationships with regional manufacturers specifically for this reason.
Are there California-specific considerations for F-1 CPT manufacturing jobs?
California's strict worker classification laws mean employers must properly classify CPT students as employees rather than independent contractors, which affects how your CPT authorization is structured. California also has strong environmental and safety regulations in manufacturing, so internship roles in chemical, semiconductor, or aerospace production may require additional compliance onboarding. Confirm with your DSO that your offer letter and job duties are documented in a way that satisfies both your school's CPT requirements and California labor standards.
