Which companies sponsor visas for assistant project managers in Delaware?
The most active visa-sponsoring employers for assistant project manager roles in Delaware tend to be large corporations headquartered or operating in Wilmington. Pharmaceutical companies like AstraZeneca and Incyte, financial institutions including JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America, and consulting firms with Delaware offices have historically filed H-1B petitions for project management positions. Smaller construction and engineering firms sponsor far less frequently.
Which visa types are most common for assistant project manager roles in Delaware?
The H-1B is the most common visa for assistant project managers in Delaware, particularly for roles requiring a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or information systems. The role must qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning the employer needs to demonstrate the position genuinely requires a specific degree. L-1B and TN visas are also used in Delaware when the employer is a multinational firm or the candidate is Canadian or Mexican.
Which cities in Delaware have the most assistant project manager sponsorship jobs?
Wilmington accounts for the large majority of visa-sponsored assistant project manager openings in Delaware. It hosts the state's concentration of Fortune 500 financial services companies and pharmaceutical operations. Newark, home to the University of Delaware and nearby corporate campuses, is a secondary market. Dover sees some state government and infrastructure project activity, but private-sector sponsorship there is limited compared to Wilmington.
How to find assistant project manager visa sponsorship jobs in Delaware?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters assistant project manager roles by visa sponsorship availability, including positions in Delaware. Rather than sorting through postings that don't confirm sponsorship, you can focus directly on employers who have filed H-1B or other work visa petitions for project management roles in the state. Filtering by Delaware within Migrate Mate surfaces the most relevant opportunities.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for assistant project managers in Delaware?
Delaware's incorporation-friendly legal environment means many large companies are registered there, but the actual hiring activity and visa sponsorship is concentrated in the Wilmington metro rather than spread statewide. The University of Delaware produces a pipeline of OPT-eligible graduates in engineering and business, which means some employers are familiar with F-1 OPT-to-H-1B transitions for project management roles. Prevailing wage requirements apply as with any H-1B filing, regardless of state.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored assistant project manager jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
