Which companies sponsor visas for assistant project managers in New Hampshire?
BAE Systems in Nashua is among the more consistent sponsors, particularly for defense and engineering project roles. Construction management firms operating along the I-93 corridor and life sciences contractors near Manchester also have sponsorship track records. Larger firms with established HR and legal infrastructure are generally better positioned to navigate the sponsorship process than smaller regional contractors.
Which visa types are most common for assistant project manager roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for assistant project managers, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, construction management, or business. Some roles in defense or government contracting may also see TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals. O-1 visa petitions are less common at this level but possible for candidates with documented professional distinctions.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most assistant project manager sponsorship jobs?
Nashua leads due to its concentration of defense contractors and engineering firms, particularly around the BAE Systems campus. Manchester follows closely, with growth in construction, healthcare infrastructure, and technology project roles. Portsmouth sees demand tied to maritime, government contracting, and commercial development projects. Concord, as the state capital, generates opportunities through state agency and infrastructure program work.
How to find assistant project manager visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify assistant project manager roles in New Hampshire without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can search by state and role to surface relevant openings from employers with active sponsorship programs in sectors like defense, construction, and life sciences that are active in the state.
Are there state-specific considerations for assistant project managers seeking visa sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since take-home pay differs from neighboring states. Many assistant project manager roles in the state are tied to federal contracts, meaning employers must meet Davis-Bacon Act wage requirements on covered projects. Candidates with PMP associate credentials or degrees from nearby institutions like UNH or SNHU may find their qualifications align well with regional employer expectations.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored assistant project manager jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
