Which companies sponsor visas for assistant project managers in Georgia?
Construction and engineering firms have the strongest sponsorship track record for assistant project managers in Georgia. Turner Construction, Jacobs Engineering, AECOM, and Skanska have all filed Labor Condition Applications for project management roles in the Atlanta area. Technology companies with Georgia operations, including NCR and Fiserv, also sponsor assistant project managers, particularly for software implementation and IT project support functions.
Which visa types are most common for assistant project manager roles in Georgia?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for assistant project managers in Georgia, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as construction management, engineering, or information systems. Candidates with relevant graduate degrees may also qualify under the EB-2 immigrant visa pathway. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles can pursue TN visa status under the USMCA, which covers engineers and management consultants.
Which cities in Georgia have the most assistant project manager sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the large majority of assistant project manager sponsorship opportunities in Georgia, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters, construction activity, and technology firms. Savannah is a secondary market with growing demand tied to port expansion and logistics infrastructure projects. Athens and Augusta have smaller but active markets connected to university facilities management and healthcare system development projects.
How to find assistant project manager visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify Georgia employers actively hiring assistant project managers who require work authorization. Rather than sorting through thousands of unfiltered postings, you can search Migrate Mate for assistant project manager roles in Georgia and see which companies have a documented history of sponsoring international candidates in this role category.
Are there any Georgia-specific considerations for assistant project managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Georgia's construction and infrastructure sectors are expanding significantly, supported by state-level investment in transportation and logistics, which creates genuine demand for assistant project managers beyond the H-1B lottery cycle alone. Cap-exempt employers such as Georgia Tech, the University of Georgia, and affiliated research institutions can file H-1B petitions outside the annual lottery, which is worth noting for candidates with relevant project coordination backgrounds in academic or research settings.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored assistant project manager jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
