Which companies in Utah sponsor visas for assistant project managers?
Construction firms like Jacobsen Construction, Big-D Construction, and Okland Construction have sponsored international workers in project management roles. On the tech and software side, companies like Qualtrics and Adobe's Lehi office have also filed sponsorships for project-adjacent roles. Sponsorship is more common at mid-to-large employers with established HR infrastructure and international hiring experience.
What visa types are most common for assistant project manager roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa for assistant project managers in Utah, particularly when the role requires a degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related technical field. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. Some roles in architecture or engineering-adjacent project management may also qualify under the O-1 for individuals with demonstrated professional distinction.
Which cities in Utah have the most assistant project manager sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the largest share of assistant project manager sponsorship activity in Utah, particularly in construction, infrastructure, and enterprise technology. Provo and the broader Utah County corridor, sometimes called Silicon Slopes, has seen growing demand from tech companies managing product and implementation projects. St. George is an emerging market tied to regional construction growth in southern Utah.
How to find assistant project manager visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it practical to search for assistant project manager roles in Utah without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. You can filter by state and role to see which Utah employers are actively hiring and sponsoring. This saves significant time compared to reviewing unfiltered postings where sponsorship intent is unclear.
Are there any Utah-specific considerations for assistant project managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Utah's construction and tech industries are subject to Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements, which employers must meet when sponsoring H-1B workers in assistant project manager roles. The University of Utah and Brigham Young University produce a steady pipeline of domestic candidates, which means international applicants benefit from clearly demonstrating specialized skills or experience. Roles tied to federally funded infrastructure projects may also involve additional compliance layers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored assistant project manager jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
