Which companies sponsor visas for risk analysts in Delaware?
Wilmington-based financial institutions are the most active sponsors for risk analyst roles in Delaware. JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Barclays, and Capital One all have significant Delaware operations and documented histories of H-1B sponsorship for quantitative and credit risk positions. Insurance companies like Incyte and regional financial holding companies also appear in Department of Labor LCA filings for risk analyst roles in the state.
Which visa types are most common for risk analyst roles in Delaware?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for risk analysts in Delaware, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in finance, mathematics, statistics, or a related field. Candidates with advanced degrees may also see employers filing EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visa petitions. OPT and STEM OPT are common entry points for international graduates before employer-sponsored H-1B sponsorship.
How to find risk analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Delaware?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status, so you can search for risk analyst roles in Delaware without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. Because Delaware's market is concentrated in Wilmington's financial services corridor, filtering by city alongside role and sponsorship type helps narrow results quickly. Migrate Mate's board focuses on employers actively willing to sponsor, which is the practical starting point for any international job seeker in this field.
Which cities in Delaware have the most risk analyst sponsorship jobs?
Wilmington accounts for the substantial majority of risk analyst sponsorship activity in Delaware. The city serves as the U.S. headquarters or major operational hub for dozens of national banks and credit card companies, driven historically by Delaware's corporate-friendly banking laws. Newark and Dover have smaller financial services presences, but Wilmington is where international candidates should concentrate their search for sponsored risk analyst positions.
Are there any state-specific considerations for risk analysts pursuing sponsorship in Delaware?
Delaware's concentration of financial services employers means risk analyst roles here often require familiarity with credit risk, regulatory compliance, or consumer banking, reflecting the state's dominant industry. University of Delaware graduates in finance and applied mathematics form part of the local talent pipeline, and some employers maintain recruiting relationships with the school. Because Delaware has no dedicated state immigration program, federal visa categories like H-1B govern all sponsorship pathways for risk analysts here.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored risk analyst jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
