Which companies sponsor visas for accountants in Florida?
Florida employers with consistent H-1B sponsorship histories for accounting roles include Carnival Corporation, World Fuel Services, Ryder System, and large hospital networks like HCA Florida and AdventHealth. Regional offices of the Big Four firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG) in Miami and Orlando also sponsor international accountants, particularly those with CPA credentials or expertise in international tax and audit.
Which visa types are most common for accountant roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa for accountants in Florida, as accounting qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. TN status is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying accountant roles. Accountants from Australia may pursue the E-3 visa. All three require employer sponsorship and a certified Labor Condition Application filed with the Department of Labor.
Which cities in Florida have the most accountant sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads Florida for accountant sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of multinational corporations, international banking, and Latin American trade finance operations. Orlando and Tampa follow, with demand from large healthcare systems, hospitality groups, and regional corporate headquarters. Jacksonville generates steady accounting demand from financial services firms and logistics companies, while Fort Lauderdale sees activity tied to maritime and international trade industries.
How to find accountant visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and lets you filter accountant roles in Florida by visa sponsorship availability, so you're not sorting through listings from employers who won't sponsor. The platform surfaces roles from companies with documented sponsorship histories. For accounting candidates, filtering by CPA requirement or industry sector, such as healthcare or financial services, helps narrow results to the strongest matches in Florida's market.
Are there state-specific considerations for accountant visa sponsorship in Florida?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects compensation benchmarking and prevailing wage calculations used in the Labor Condition Application process. Employers must still meet federal prevailing wage levels set by the Department of Labor for the specific accounting role and geographic area. Florida's large international business community, particularly in Miami-Dade County, creates relatively higher familiarity with sponsorship processes among finance and accounting employers compared to less internationally connected U.S. markets.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored accountant jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
