Which companies in Florida sponsor visas for data managers?
Healthcare systems including AdventHealth, HCA Healthcare, and Moffitt Cancer Center are among Florida's more active visa sponsors for data professionals. Major financial institutions with Florida operations, such as Citigroup and Raymond James, also sponsor data manager roles. Tech-forward companies in the Orlando and Tampa corridors file H-1B petitions for data management positions with some regularity. Sponsorship patterns are verifiable through DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data.
Which visa types are most common for data manager roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for data manager roles in Florida, as these positions typically require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field like computer science, information systems, or statistics, which satisfies the specialty occupation standard. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa. Those with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may be eligible under the TN visa category, provided data manager roles meet TN classification requirements.
Which cities in Florida have the most data manager sponsorship jobs?
Miami, Tampa, and Orlando account for the largest share of data manager sponsorship activity in Florida. Miami's concentration of finance, logistics, and international business firms drives demand. Tampa's healthcare and insurance sectors generate consistent openings, particularly around the medical corridor. Orlando's growing technology and hospitality-tech sectors also produce data manager roles with sponsorship. Jacksonville is a secondary but active market, especially in banking and financial services operations.
How to find data manager visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and filters data manager jobs in Florida by employer sponsorship history. Rather than sorting through general job boards where sponsorship status is unclear, Migrate Mate surfaces roles from employers with documented H-1B and other visa filings. Filtering by Florida and the data manager role category gives you a focused list of realistic opportunities without the noise.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for data managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects how employers structure compensation packages relative to prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program. The state's large healthcare and financial services sectors mean data manager roles often require domain-specific knowledge of HIPAA compliance or financial data governance. Several Florida universities, including the University of Florida and University of South Florida, produce strong pipelines of international graduates in data-related fields, making Florida employers generally familiar with OPT and H-1B sponsorship processes.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data manager jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
