Which companies in Florida sponsor visas for data science managers?
Florida-based employers with a track record of sponsoring data science managers include Chewy, AdventHealth, Carnival Corporation, Raymond James, and Modernizing Medicine. Large financial institutions and hospital systems across Tampa and Miami also file H-1B petitions for senior analytics roles regularly. Technology divisions within hospitality and retail companies in Orlando have expanded their data science leadership hiring in recent years.
Which visa types are most common for data science manager roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for data science managers in Florida, as the role typically requires a bachelor's or advanced degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, computer science, or mathematics, satisfying the specialty occupation requirement. Candidates already holding L-1A status through an intracompany transfer may also transition into managerial data science roles. Those with extraordinary ability credentials may qualify for O-1A consideration.
Which cities in Florida have the most data science manager sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads Florida for data science manager sponsorship activity, driven by its growing fintech and healthcare sectors. Tampa follows closely, with strong demand from financial services firms, insurance companies, and health systems concentrated along the I-4 corridor. Orlando contributes sponsorship opportunities through hospitality technology companies and defense contractors. Jacksonville has a smaller but active market through banking and logistics employers.
How to find data science manager visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship roles in the U.S., including data science manager positions filtered by state. You can browse Florida-specific listings and filter by employers with a verified history of H-1B sponsorship. This saves significant time compared to manually researching which companies have filed petitions for senior data science roles in Florida.
Are there any state-specific considerations for data science manager roles in Florida?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects how employers benchmark total compensation packages for senior roles, though it does not change federal visa requirements. The state's concentration of healthcare and financial services employers means many data science manager positions require domain knowledge in regulated industries, which can strengthen a sponsorship petition by reinforcing the specialty occupation argument. Florida's universities, including the University of Florida and University of Miami, also supply a pipeline that influences local hiring expectations.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data science manager jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
