Which consumer goods companies in Florida sponsor F-1 STEM OPT visas?
Florida-based consumer goods employers with a track record of STEM OPT sponsorship include Bacardi, Chewy, Carnival Corporation, PepsiCo's regional offices, and Ryder System in supply chain operations. Large retail distributors headquartered in the Miami and Tampa corridors also file Labor Condition Applications for STEM-eligible roles. Checking DOL OFLC disclosure data by employer name and state filters results to Florida-specific filings.
Which cities in Florida have the most consumer goods F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads Florida for consumer goods STEM OPT opportunities, driven by its concentration of international CPG headquarters and Latin American distribution hubs. Tampa and Orlando follow, with strong demand in logistics, operations analytics, and product management. Jacksonville supports supply chain and e-commerce roles tied to the state's port infrastructure. Each metro has distinct employer clusters worth targeting by industry sub-sector.
What types of consumer goods roles typically qualify for F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship?
Roles that qualify must fall under STEM-designated classification of instructional programs (CIP) codes and require a degree in a STEM field. In consumer goods, qualifying positions commonly include supply chain analyst, data scientist, demand planning engineer, quality assurance engineer, and operations research analyst. Roles in marketing or general management rarely qualify unless the employer documents a direct STEM degree requirement in the position description.
How do I find consumer goods F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate lets you filter directly by visa type, industry, and state, so you can surface consumer goods employers in Florida that have filed STEM OPT-compatible Labor Condition Applications. This removes the guesswork of manually searching DOL databases. Migrate Mate also shows verified employer filing history, helping you identify which Florida consumer goods companies actively sponsor rather than those that only occasionally do.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship in consumer goods?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects total compensation comparisons but does not change federal STEM OPT eligibility rules. Employers in Florida consumer goods must still be E-Verify enrolled to sponsor STEM OPT extensions, and the role must appear on your employer's E-Verify account. Miami's bilingual workforce and proximity to Latin American markets make Spanish fluency a common informal requirement in CPG roles, though it is not a visa eligibility factor.
