Search Consulting Jobs in FloridaConsulting STEM OPT Sponsorship Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
Which consulting companies sponsor F-1 STEM OPT visas in Florida?
Large consulting firms with Florida offices, including Deloitte, Accenture, Booz Allen Hamilton, IBM Consulting, and PwC, have consistent F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship histories. Regional IT and management consulting firms in Miami's financial district and Tampa's growing professional services corridor also appear regularly in DOL Labor Condition Application filings for STEM-eligible roles.
Which cities in Florida have the most consulting F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads Florida for consulting sponsorship volume, driven by its concentration of financial advisory, technology consulting, and multinational firm offices. Tampa is second, with strong demand from healthcare IT consultancies and regional strategy firms. Orlando contributes through technology and hospitality-sector consulting practices, while Jacksonville hosts several back-office and operations consulting employers with active STEM OPT hiring records.
What types of consulting roles typically qualify for F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship?
Roles qualifying for STEM OPT in consulting generally carry STEM degree classifications in computer and mathematical occupations or operations research, including data analytics consultant, IT systems consultant, management analyst (in quantitative contexts), and business intelligence consultant. The position must be tied to a STEM-designated degree program and involve work directly related to that field of study, which many Florida consulting firms confirm through their formal training authorization process.
How do I find consulting F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters consulting job listings by visa type and state, showing Florida employers with verified F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship history drawn from DOL LCA filing data. You can search specifically for consulting roles in Miami, Tampa, or Orlando and filter by STEM OPT eligibility. This avoids sifting through listings from employers with no prior sponsorship record, which is common on general job platforms.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship in consulting?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects total compensation comparisons when evaluating offers from multistate consulting firms. Florida's large international business community, particularly in Miami, means many consulting employers are experienced with work authorization processes. However, STEM OPT authorization requires your employer to be enrolled in E-Verify, a federal requirement that applies uniformly regardless of state, and your DSO must authorize the extension through SEVIS before you begin work.
