Which companies sponsor visas for radiologic technologists in Florida?
Large hospital systems are the most active sponsors for radiologic technologists in Florida. AdventHealth, HCA Florida Healthcare, Baptist Health South Florida, Tampa General Hospital, and UF Health have all filed for foreign worker sponsorships in healthcare imaging roles. Staffing agencies that specialize in allied health placements also facilitate sponsorship for radiology positions across smaller Florida facilities.
Which visa types are most common for radiologic technologist roles in Florida?
The H-1B visa is the most common route for radiologic technologists in Florida, as the role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or a related field. Some international candidates also enter through the EB-3 employment-based green card category. Candidates from certain countries may have access to additional treaty-based visa options depending on their nationality.
Which cities in Florida have the most radiologic technologist sponsorship jobs?
Miami and Orlando see the highest concentration of radiologic technologist sponsorship activity in Florida, driven by their large hospital networks and imaging centers. Tampa and Jacksonville also have meaningful demand, particularly through HCA Florida and Baptist Health facilities. Smaller markets like Fort Lauderdale, Gainesville, and Pensacola occasionally post sponsored positions, especially tied to academic medical centers.
How to find radiologic technologist visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers looking for visa sponsorship roles, including radiologic technologist positions in Florida. You can filter by state and role to see which Florida employers are currently hiring and have a history of sponsoring foreign workers in radiology and imaging. This removes the guesswork of identifying which hospital systems and imaging networks are open to sponsoring international candidates.
Are there any state-specific considerations for radiologic technologists seeking sponsorship in Florida?
Florida requires radiologic technologists to hold a state license through the Florida Department of Health before practicing, regardless of immigration status. International candidates should confirm their credentials meet Florida's licensing requirements, which include passing the ARRT examination. Florida's large retired and Medicare-eligible population keeps imaging demand consistently high, which supports employer willingness to sponsor qualified candidates who are already credentialed.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored radiologic technologist jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
