Which companies sponsor visas for radiologic technologists in Arizona?
Banner Health is the largest employer of radiologic technologists in Arizona and has a documented history of H-1B sponsorship for clinical roles. Dignity Health, Valleywise Health, and HonorHealth are also active sponsors in the Phoenix metro. Mayo Clinic's Scottsdale campus has sponsored imaging professionals as well. Sponsorship decisions vary by facility, role urgency, and the candidate's credentials and immigration status.
Which visa types are most common for radiologic technologist roles in Arizona?
The H-1B is the most common visa for radiologic technologists in Arizona, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or a related field. Some internationally trained techs also enter on TN visas if they are Canadian or Mexican citizens, provided the role meets TN classification requirements. EB-3 immigrant visa sponsorship appears less frequently but does occur at larger health systems.
Which cities in Arizona have the most radiologic technologist sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix and its surrounding suburbs, including Scottsdale, Mesa, Tempe, and Chandler, account for the majority of radiologic technologist sponsorship opportunities in Arizona given the concentration of major hospital systems there. Tucson is the second largest market, anchored by Banner University Medical Center and Tucson Medical Center. Smaller markets like Flagstaff and Yuma have facilities with imaging departments but see fewer sponsored positions.
How to find radiologic technologist visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for visa sponsorship jobs, including radiologic technologist roles in Arizona. You can filter by state and job category to surface positions at employers with a history of sponsoring imaging professionals. Because sponsorship availability changes frequently, checking Migrate Mate regularly gives you the most current view of which Arizona facilities are actively hiring and open to sponsoring.
Are there any state-specific considerations for radiologic technologists seeking sponsorship in Arizona?
Arizona requires radiologic technologists to hold state licensure through the Arizona Radiation Regulatory Agency before practicing. International candidates must confirm their foreign credentials are recognized and that they meet ARRT certification requirements, which most Arizona employers require independently of immigration status. Arizona's large retiree population and rapid population growth in the Phoenix metro drive consistent imaging demand, which can support employers' willingness to pursue sponsorship for qualified candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored radiologic technologist jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
