Which companies sponsor visas for radiologic technologists in Pennsylvania?
Pennsylvania's largest health systems have the most consistent sponsorship histories for radiologic technologists. UPMC, Penn Medicine, Jefferson Health, Geisinger Health System, and Main Line Health have all appeared in Department of Labor disclosure data for radiology-related positions. Academic medical centers and large hospital networks tend to have dedicated immigration legal teams, which makes them more structured sponsors than smaller outpatient clinics.
Which visa types are most common for radiologic technologist roles in Pennsylvania?
The EB-3 immigrant visa is the most common pathway for internationally trained radiologic technologists in Pennsylvania, as the role is classified under Schedule A, allowing employers to skip the PERM labor market test. The H-1B nonimmigrant visa is also used when the position meets specialty occupation criteria, though this requires the annual lottery. Some employers also use the TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals who qualify under USMCA.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most radiologic technologist sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia and Pittsburgh account for the majority of radiologic technologist sponsorship activity in Pennsylvania, driven by their dense concentration of academic medical centers and large hospital networks. Allentown, Harrisburg, and Scranton also have active hiring markets through regional health systems like Lehigh Valley Health Network and Geisinger. Rural and community hospital settings exist statewide but sponsor less frequently due to smaller HR infrastructure.
How to find radiologic technologist visa sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate lists radiologic technologist roles in Pennsylvania filtered specifically for visa sponsorship eligibility, drawing on employer sponsorship history from federal labor filings. Rather than sorting through general job boards, you can search directly by role and state to identify which Pennsylvania health systems are actively sponsoring. This saves significant time compared to contacting employers individually to ask about their immigration policies.
Are there state-specific considerations for radiologic technologists seeking sponsorship in Pennsylvania?
Pennsylvania requires radiologic technologists to hold a state license issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection's Bureau of Radiation Protection. International applicants typically need ARRT certification, which is also required for Pennsylvania licensure. Employers initiating sponsorship will generally want confirmation that you can obtain or are progressing toward licensure, as working without it is not permitted. Factor licensing timelines into any sponsorship conversation with a Pennsylvania employer.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored radiologic technologist jobs in Pennsylvania?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
